Do friends, clients, or customers often confide in you? Do you interact with people daily in your work or personal life? If so, you have the power to make a real difference.
Camden Life Center’s Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program equips participants with the tools to recognize the signs of mental health and substance use challenges — and respond with care, confidence, and compassion.
What You’ll Learn
MHFA training teaches a practical action plan for supporting others in crisis and non-crisis situations.
The 5-Step ALGEE Action Plan:
- Assess for risk of suicide or harm
- Listen nonjudgmentally
- Give reassurance and information
- Encourage professional help
- Encourage self-help and other support resources
With these tools, you’ll be able to connect individuals to the resources and care they need.
Adult & Youth Training Options
We offer Adult MHFA and Youth MHFA, helping participants recognize and respond to age-specific challenges. Both trainings are interactive, evidence-based, and led by certified MHFA instructors.
