Food is more than nourishment — it’s connection, health, and community. The Let’s Eat Program at Camden Life Center is designed to bridge the gap between nutrition education and food access, offering hands-on support to empower individuals and families.
What We Do
At its heart, Let’s Eat is about connection — connecting people to food, knowledge, and one another through the healing power of nourishment.
Through workshops, demonstrations, and community engagement, Let’s Eat helps participants:
- Understand how food impacts both physical and mental health
- Learn accessible, affordable meal preparation strategies
- Gain confidence in the kitchen through hands-on practice
- Connect with others through the shared experience of food
Emergency & Ongoing Support
The Let’s Eat Program is supported by a variety of food initiatives hosted at Camden Life Center
- Emergency Food Pantry – Immediate support for individuals and families facing food insecurity
- Outdoor Pantry & Community Fridge – 24/7 access to non-perishable foods, plus fresh items April–October
- Food $en$e Program – A monthly co-op providing 12–15 grocery items for just $20.50
- Mobile Food Pantry – Monthly distribution of fresh, nutritious food in underserved areas
Culinary Education
Led by our Culinary Director, the Let’s Eat Program also includes education and training opportunities to help community members build healthy habits.
Offerings include:
- Cooking demonstrations with practical recipes
- Nutrition education focused on wellness and inclusivity
- Meal planning for affordability and accessibility
This important work is made possible in part through funding from the Cabrini Health Foundation, allowing us to expand access to food education and address food insecurity across our region.
