CAMDEN, NY, September 4, 2024: On August 23rd, Camden community members joined together to raise funds and awareness for the Camden Life Center (CLC). Clad in sparkly gowns,
jackets and ties with a dose of denim, the CLC’s first-ever Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala was, by all measures, a resounding success.

As summer fades and the school year draws near, I find myself reflecting on the whirlwind of the past few months and the exciting milestone of my “baby” starting

Summer has been warm and wonderful so far, and we’re making the most of it by soaking up as much time in the great outdoors as possible. This month, we’re spotlighting the many benefits of being outside (check out page 2). A short walk during our lunch break with our furry four-legged friends does wonders for our mood and helps us stay on top of our game.

I hope you are doing well. April showers bring May flowers – and I’m hoping for some warm weather, sunshine, and flowers! (please hold the pollen). For the month of April, the CLC is focusing on the power of laughter (see page 2) and is preparing for Earth Day.

I hope this message finds you well. Spring is around the corner and despite the relatively mild winter, I am more than ready for the new growth and freshness that spring brings. It reminds me of my good friend’s Word of the Year a few years ago of “Bloom”. The expression “bloom where you’re planted” encourages me to take advantage of the opportunities in my life and be grateful for the present situation, even in circumstances that are not ideal.
